Please take a moment today to reach out and say thanks to a Veteran. Remember our Veterans, and say thanks to those who continue to serve our country every day. Our FREEDOM is not without cost and should not be taken for granted. Say a special prayer of thanksgiving for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, so that we can live, work, speak and worship as FREE AMERICANS! – Shawn and Keith

This week’s show reminded me just how lucky we are to be Americans! Here in America we enjoy freedom 365 days a year, every year. Freedom is not something that comes along every now and then when some protesters take to the street and shout, “Revolution!” Or, when the world’s television cameras and pundits proclaim that, “Freedom” now exists. No, here in America we have been a free people from the day hundreds of years ago that several brave men took up arms to confront the British army at the Concord Bridge! We have remained free since that historic day in Massachusetts because the brave men and women of our armed forces have continued to risk, and give their lives, so the sacred torch of freedom is never extinguished. Shame on us if we ever take that freedom for granted!
We have all heard the statement, “Freedom isn’t free!” Well, that is true. Since the Revolutionary War and every war, conflict or engagement since, brave American blood has been spilled to preserve that freedom. I don’t care what political party you belong to, whether you call yourself a liberal or conservative, or if you are one of those unengaged people who avoid politics all together, you get to live that way because of everyone of those brave warriors! We all get to worship as we choose, speak openly, and own guns because we are free people.
So, the next time you see a service man or woman at the airport, coffee shop, or anywhere else, walk up to them and tell them, “Thank you!” If they are standing next to you in line, buy them a cup of coffee or pay for their lunch. It is the least you can do to let them know that you do not take your freedom for granted and that you realize that the reason you are a free American is because of their courage and sacrifice, and all of their bother and sister warrior soldiers, since this glorious experiment in self-government began!
I also suggest that every day you offer a prayer to our Almighty God and thank him for the divine province that he gave so we could prevail in that Revolutionary War and every war since! Ask that He continue to bless us with his mercy and wisdom so that we can remain powerful and free and always act with conviction and compassion. Always remember that we are, “One nation, under God!”
Lastly, I charge you to be proactive yourself! Do not be one of those people who are not engaged and simply let others do the work for you. You know right from wrong, and when you see or hear wrong, have the courage to act and speak out against it. Always vote! Not to, is irresponsible!
Also, I hope that you recognize that the primary reason that we have not lost the God given, and Constitutionally protected right, “To Keep and Bear Arms,” is because of the foresight and vigilant effort of the National Rifle Association! If you hunt or are a gun owner and are not a member, “Shame on you!” I promise you, the anti-gun and anti-hunters love you for not joining the fight. And, make no mistake about it, it is a domestic fight for Freedom as there are those in our midst that would love nothing more than to take from us that one freedom that protects all the other freedoms, “The right to keep and bare arms.” If you are not a member of the NRA, join! If you are a member, become a life member. Sign up your family and friends. Short of joining the military I can’t think of a better way to protect and fight for our sacred American freedoms, other than supporting the National Rifle Association!
Shawn and I are both life members of the NRA! In fact, both of our wives and all of our children are life members, too! Please join us, and all of the other citizen warriors by going to www.nra.com and become, expand or extend your membership today. Do your part to make sure we stay, FREE AMERICANS!
God Bless America!
